Article Submission Guidelines for Visions Magazine

Thanks for your interest in Visions Magazine. Writers should submit a query letter or email which explains the proposed story idea and angle. Please send the letter to the attention of publisher, Chris Keever. Be sure to include your telephone number and e-mail address.

We ask that the follow accompany your article submittal:

• Picture (mug shot)

• 30-40 word biography

• Column title- this is the generic title that goes beside your picture and name from month to month

• Article title- this is the title that appears at the top of the page and is unique to the subject matter.

• Please feel free to submit photos that compliment your article. Please note that these can not always be utilized.

• Articles have a general deadline of the 15th of each month prior to publication month.

• Articles need to be typed in a word format and provided to us via email, CD or diskette.

As a general rule articles can not be used as self promotion (not advertising). Articles are to be used only to provide quality information for the public’s general usage. The 30-40 word biography can be used to mention your practice and qualifications in authoring the column.

Anderson County Visions Magazine assumes no responsibility for unsolicited manuscripts. Any stories, disks, or writing portfolios submitted will not be returned, unless accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope.
